New registration requirements passed by presidential decree (not Congress). Further proof Obama only supports democracy when democracy supports him.

The ATF releases a large volumes of firearms to drug cartels in Mexico. Their whole operation was premised on the false premise that most of the guns used for crime in Mexico were purchased here legally. It was a flawed premise made faultier by ATF involvement.

Now they want to begin requiring federal reporting of gun purchases. But just in Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, and California. They are still operating under the mistaken belief that gun control on this side of the border will slow criminal activity on that side of the border.

I'm still waiting for them to finally grasp the concept that these are MULTINATIONAL CRIMINAL NETWORKS WITH WORLDWIDE OPERATIONS. Regulations here have absolutely no affect on the cartels. Remember, the narcotics they distrubute are illegal. When has that stopped cocaine, heroin, and the like from being smuggled here routinely?

All gun control will get for us is the same thing it got for Mexico: Well-armed and organized criminals that control the country and make it dangerous for everyone. Look forward to kidnappings and paying for protection, because our government is certainly stupid enough to see that it happens.

Yep, after arming the Shinaloa drug cartel, the US Injustice Dep't wants to penalize law abiding gun dealers.

This is a fine example of how a federal operation morphs into an out of control monster. Operation Gun Runner began in 2006. It morphed into Fast and Furious in 2009. The purpose of this criminal operation was to demonstrate the need for more gun control; like an new AWB. The fine pukes in the Homeland Insecurity Dep't allowed about 35 each .50 caliber Barrett rifles to make it to the drug cartels. One of these was used to disable a Mexican military helicopter.

i have active duty military and retired military special operations friends doing counterintelligence on the Mexican border. This rogue operation by the BATFE places them in grave danger.

And then what? The country will not do what's needed to reduce the authority the government has, to the contrary it's feed well.

It's all connected, when one person abuses another government is born as the abuse grows so does government. The way people treat the people they deal with daily is how the government has gotten the size it is. The love of money has gotten us here and the love of money is the root of all sorts of evils, this is but one of those evils. When the country's love sleeps with another all hell will break lose and the government can't have the people armed. Won't do much good then anyways. Whole towns will be banging on one door saying, "Come out that we may know you".

Personal freedom is the war, owning guns is a skirmish that all too many are satisfied with winning and calling it a day. It's all connected. When someone charges you $10 for a bottle of water and they're pretty much the only game in town personal freedom is trampled on, government grows and one day, takes gun rights away.
