How come not a single Senator has been asked " what does this deal mean to your state
Seriously, why won't the media do it's job?

They all dodged the bullet on the 11th hour just like most people predicted. They played their partisan cards right up to the end that would have made no winners. The result was that they pushed the DOW into a huge loss but that didn't matter to them since positioning for 2012 is all they are concerned with. It is time for the American people to say we have had enough and through the voter’s booth ensure that we hire on a new less corrupt group to legislate. In my state we have 2 congressmen, Pat Leahy (D) and communist Bernie Sanders (I). Leahy who is a 40 year politician voted yes on the debt ceiling bailout while Sanders and House member Welch (D) voted no. To be honest I can't imagine why anyone would have voted to allow our country to go into default. They didn't fix anything but did stay off the eventual unless a dramatic change takes place and I seriously doubt that partisan politics will allow that to happen unless we have a complete change in leadership. At least in Vermont…our elected leaders certainly don’t follow their constituents wishes and aren’t particularly worried about doing so. I will never vote for any of those 3 again.

Too busy with fishing to spend much time here.
I'd love to see republican majorities in House, Senate and a republican in the Oval office.
Just to watch them toss that raggedy azz old scarecrow Pelosi out on her ear when they shut the lights and pull the microphones would be well worth the cost of admission.
Republicans need to stop trying to placate the democrats...and if they end up with 'owning' the government, I expect no less than ruthless and complete minimization and exclusion of democrats from the legislative process. It's not like there's not been a precedent in this rotting and fetid administration's reign of stupidity.....

And while we're at it, let's go for a few SCOTUS appointments as well....
I take it you are a very young person. You appear to have never heard of a Republican president called GW Bush. During his presidency, he enjoyed Republican majorities on both houses. He was also handed a federal government budget from Clinton which over his 8 year presidency had DECREASED debt as a percentage of GDP by 10%. Additionally he enacted no new massive social programs.
Bush took this and over his 8 year presidency INCREASED debt as a percentage of GDP by an astounding 28%. He and his Republican cronies also enacted prescription drug benefits, a multi-trillion dollar liability.
Now that you have been educated, are sure you want to give the Republicans complete power again? Perhaps what we need to do is get rid of Obama and get Clinton back.
you mean the Republican congress did that HD. Now you have been educated on the Debt.
Now for the prescricption drug program, are you aware the Dems wanted the bill to be 2X larger? Are you aware the program came in under budget? Are you aware the Dems under Obamacare now made that program 2X larger?
I bet you still plan on voting for Obama again aren't you?

ANd you have demonstrated yourself to be an idiot. First off, the 'Great Stain Maker' handed over debt, just like everybody before him. Second, BUsh overcame (quite successfully) a recession caused by 9/11. His 28% debt increase was over 8 years....as opposed to your idiot hero who's increased it 35% in only three. So in response to growing debt, insolvency, disaster in the housing market, your homeboy pushes thru a multi-trillion dollar health entitlement. Idiot..Him and you...now that YOU are educated, you may now slink away like a roach into the darkness.
Methinks it has something to do with the president's party affiliation.
I actually wonder how many far-left wackos, socialists and communists have actually made a home in newsrooms across the nation. I dont think it's just about 'being democrat'...
