I'm not sure what these are....sounds like the kind of unter-menschen scum which used to engage in 'wilding' here in NYC a few years back.
Why is nobody arming themselves ?

I'm just stupid enough I would have to inflict some damage in such a circumstance. I do not abide bullying very well.

There are a variety of phenomenon that are taking place. A "flash mob" can simply be people who have decided to meet at some place spontaneously just for the novelty of it. This may be a nuisance -- like 500 people all showing up at one location -- but is not necessarily malicious or criminal. There is another phenomenon where a large number of teens collect together and engage in deliberate lawlessness, like storming a convenience store and systematically plundering it. Other recent events have included robbing people on the street -- I think in Philadelphia -- and harrassing people on the Oak Street Beach on the near north side of Chicago.

we have been havin those down here in greensboro nc lately in the downtown area. So far theyve damaged a restaurant, and about 2 weeks ago a flash mob descended on a park and attacked a man. He said a kid ran up and punched him, in the back, he turns around and it was like 400 kids there.

I remember the Central Park "Wilding" incident. This was many years ago...perpetrated by a band of 'inner city' kids on a female jogger. They charged her, overpowered her, held her down and repeatedly raped her before bashing her skull with a rock and leaving her for dead. She lay there for hours before she was found, amazingly, still clinging to life. She survived the attack, but suffered a traumatic brain injury. She was a concert pianist, I believe and she'll be lucky if she can play a kazoo nowadays. The kids ? I think they got some of them, whereupon they were transformed from hooligans, muggers and rapists to 'good boys' who were out for a little excitement ! ONE armed person, with extra mags, will make a big splash one day and be crucified for it. Do I condone opening fire on children ? YOU BET ! When they are dozens strong and intent on swarming their intended victims, they can overpower anyone and have their way with their intended victims, even unto death. And this is where I see this 'Flash Mob' phenomenon headed, sure as God made little green apples. It's up to all of us to secure ourselves.....

I heard something mentioned about this on the radio. Looks like it's time to get that concealed to carry permit.

Iam surprised that with all the tech out there these days in surveilance that the authorities can pin point who sends out these calls. Its only a matter of time before this becomes fatal. They will riot on the wrong person or in the wrong neighborhood, and there will be bloodshed. In the future, a simple tool like a cell phone could be deemed a concealed weapon of mass destruction. Its a good thing that the phones aren't shaped like framing hammers.
