Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Tea Party US Rep. Sued For Child Support

His ex says IL Rep. Joe Walsh owes $117,000 in child support. Maybe she can garnishee his fat congressional salary.

Quote:
The freshman congressman's ex-wife, Laura Walsh, filed the claim against him in December as part of their divorce case, saying he owed $117,437 to her and their three children, the Chicago Sun-Times reported in a story published Wednesday. She contends that Walsh loaned his own campaign $35,000 and took international vacations but said he couldn't afford child support payments because he was between jobs or out of work.

"Joe personally loaned his campaign $35,000, which, given that he failed to make any child support payments to Laura because he 'had no money' is surprising," Laura Walsh's attorneys wrote in the motion. "Joe has paid himself back at least $14,200 for the loans he gave himself."

Walsh, whose campaign was marked by allegations of financial mismanagement, said he thought he and his ex-wife were coming to an agreement on the money owed, according to a February court filing. .................................................. .............................

Not sure I would believe any story right now in the media regarding a tea party member. Certainly not one involving divorce, courts and child support. Right now they have the biggest target on their backs. Put there by career politicians out to save their power.

Sorry, but Abe Lincoln was un-available for the seat in Ill. Where was the concern during his campainge, I mean it doesn't appear as though it required any hard investigation to find this tidbit out.
