Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Short duration debt ceiling increase

The Democrats object to an incremental increase of the debt ceiling that will entail revisiting the debt ceiling in a few short months. Supposedly Harry Reid objected to this saying "no Democrat will vote for a short-term Band-Aid that would put our economy at risk and put the nation back in this untenable situation a few short months from now."

What is the problem? They have certainly had no objection to this in the past!!!!!!!!

The debt ceiling was raised July 2008. The debt ceiling was raised again October 2008. Didn't the Democrats control the House back then in 2008? The debt ceiling was raised again February 2009. The Democrats then controlled both the House and the Senate. The debt ceiling was raised again December 2009, while the Democrats controlled both the House and the Senate. The debt ceiling was raised again February 2010.

This is poppy-****. The Democrats are perfectly content raising the debt ceiling in small increments. Historically, this is precisely how the debt ceiling has been increased -- in small increments. The only reason the Democrats are squeeling for a bigger debt ceiling increase is so they don't have to revisit this in about April or May next year and have their noses rubbed publically in this merde that their excess spending has created during an election year!!!

Short extensions were done 34 times I believe. Its all political. With 17 Dems up for re-election and 6 retiring, I get the feeling that the votes needed to pass this Bill in the Senate may very well be there. Why else would Reid threaten to table the Bill. I do not believe that Reid would take the chance of a vote, which may as a result, put the heat on the Oval Office. Reid is all about Obama, he owes him big time. This will get interesting, esspecially if Barry whips out his magic pen and evokes another executive order...or two.
