Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Some excellent trending going on....

According to the following article, the polling is not so indicative of the deep resentment the American People have for President Crap-Fer-Brains.... He's being predicted as losing big in battleground states....

It would seem that the Indys are starting to shed all that "Hope and Change" mumbo jumbo.

It is fixing to get even more interesting. Suppose the Boehner plan is passed by the House of Representatives tonight. Does the Senate Democratic leadership dare to suppress this in committee rather than bring it to the floor of the Senate for an up/down vote? What spin can they put on that? Two House voted bills that approve a debt ceiling increase, and two house bills suppressed in Senate commitees with no up/down vote? Not going to look good for the Dems. If they Senate votes, how does that go? Expect at least 45 Republican Senators to vote yes. You need 6 more votes from among the Democrat or independent Senators. Are they all going to vote against it? Who is at fault then for no debt ceiling increase? If it passes the Senate what does Obama do? If he vetoes it, deal over. In my view the House then sits on its hands and says "Say dudes?! What's goin on?!!!! I guess you want to originate a bill. Do so post haste like man!" The Senate cannot originate tax bills, hence their bill cannot contain new taxes. As I have said in other threads, the status quo is no more deficit spending. The world doesn't stop or explode. It could be worse than no deficit spending. Maybe some non-essential government workers get furloughed. The EPA? The Patent Office? Park Service employees? Department of Education employees? Department of Commerce employees? Do you get the picture. Maybe payments for big ticket items get delayed. Say, General Dynamics, we're going to have to catch up with you next month on that F-32 payment!

If it passes, then the debt ceiling will have to come up again next spring . . . right in the middle of presidential, senatorial, and representative election champaigns. Ouch! That's going to hurt the old public image of the Democrats isn't it? If it doesn't pass, who is at fault? The Democrat and lamestream media narrative will be that the Republicans didn't compromise, didn't produce a realistic plan. Well, that just isn't believable anymore. The Democrats have, frankly, lost their credibility. They said if we passed the stimulus plan, unemployment wouldn't rise above 8%. That was false. They said the money would be spend for "shovel ready" projects. Now we have Barrak Obama laughing with derision at this notion. They said that we would understand and appreciate the excellence of their healthcare bill after they passed it. That didn't happen. I guess its excellence explains why they have given so many waivers to their cronies.

It is going to be like shooting fish in a barrel next year for Republicans running against encumbent Democrats. My recommendation is to do nothing but run commercials that plays video of the various dumbocrats saying things that fell flat on their face. Judgment day is comin! Judgment day is comin! Sure, the Democrat base will vote for Obama, but Obama wasn't elected by the Democrat base . . . he was elected by the middle and independent voters. My guess is the independents have seen enough. "Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me!" It is going to be overwhelming. Expect to see a Republican president, a Republican Senate majority, and an increased Republican majority in the House. Maybe we can get some good supreme court justices appointed and approved.

The economy. The deficit spending. The ATF "Fast and Furious" debacle. Department of Justice refusing to prosecute the Black Panther election intimidation case. The Department of Justice pushing to try terrorists in criminal courts, with full constitutional protections. The lack of transparency. The cow-towing to foreign leaders and the public disparagement of the US to these same leaders. What have I missed? There is a LOT for these clowns to account for.

As much as I would like to share in your enthusiasm, the election is a *long* way off. Voters have irresponsibly short memories and sentiments can turn very quickly.

What we can be certain of at this point is an ugly no holds barred election.

Well, after promises by Dingy Harry that Boehner's bill would be immediately shelved, and after the realization he does not have the votes, the bill was not passed last night. Seems we have a Tea Party revolt....boehner is bargaining away too many of the cuts for their liking and I don't blame them.

As for the memories of the voters, I see it this way:
1: gas is high and getting higher
2: when Obama's base starts paying 5 bucks for a 69-cent light bulb
3: when a box of corn flakes tops $5
4: when interest rates rise and the mortgage situation comes to yet another head
5: when negligible growth is the best we can aspire to
6: when the Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire and taxes go up on everyone (Including the 'parasite class' )
7: when foreclosures once again peak

they will get their reminders to vote republican.
