Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default 90% Of Obamas travel is for party politics. And on your dime.

Wait a second, I thought he was " laser like" focusing on jobs. Perhaps that now explains the dismal jobs report number released today.

The politician is one of the few people who get paid not doing what they were hired to do. The people, enough of them, often applaud them for it and rehire them. They even claim they're evil and are good with it.

You're right HD but you don't know why. Since Obama has been in office we are lucky if the American people have gotten 10 hours a week out of him. Obama never wanted to be president he only wanted to get the free perks and it shows. To bad the main stream media has given him a hall pass.

Actually, most politicians do exactly the same thing. My current Governor is a great example of that. He travels more than anything. It's all done on the taxpayers dime. I believe that all Governors are given 24/7 protection which includes transporting them around.

That's the way it is. It actually was initially done for a good reason. Now it just gets abused with the campaigning done in office even though the security aspect still remains important.

Really? Seems to me he has been doing a lot for your state and acctually working instead of skipping out to Illinois in order to avoid doing his job like some of your politicians. He's got the collective bargining ban now in place. Didn't you tell me it was done illegally. Looks like you were wrong as usual. I also seem to remember congress summonded him to DC just so the Dems could attack him on camera. That didn't work did it? Last I heard this new budget is projected to have a surplus. Sure sounds like at least the Republicans get it in WI.

Don't kid yourself, Wisconsin's budget woes are far from over and the driver is not public unions but Medicaid/Medicare. Wisconsin faces a Medicaid budget deficit of $3.7 billion for 2011.

I don't know where you heard that Wisconsin would have a surplus. Nothing like that has come out of Madison from the politicians.

Like Hockeydad pointed out, our welfare system for health care is bleeding the state dry. More money is wasted on welfare programs than are paid out in all the public union wages combined and then some. It's too bad that the system doesn't allow you to filter out the leeches from those who actually need the programs. We really need to cut the welfare system out completely because it's broken.

That also doesn't change the fact of why top level politicians all pretty much get chauffered around. Then again, you don't let logic get in the way of your whining.
