The House Judiciary Committee has launched an inquiry into Associate Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan’s involvement in the health care overhaul at the request of 49 Republican House members.

The probe will examine whether Kagan, who served as President Barack Obama’s solicitor general prior to her Supreme Court nomination, will be required to recuse herself for cases challenging the health care law, and the accuracy of her answers to the Senate Judiciary Committee during her confirmation hearings last July

Interesting.... I wonder if she'll face perjury charges for her lies to Congress, ala various baseball players in re: steroids testimony. Seems to me that lying about your background, legal positions, and possible conflicts of interest in connection with a confirmation to the SCOTUS is significantly more important than lying about steroid use...

They won't do jack to her. I also understand there is nothing to force her to remove herself from this hearing when it arrives to the SC. Correct me if I'm wrong ipsc. She did already take herself out of play on one but I believe she maybe pressured to remain. This is also why the lap dog Weiner was hot on the attack going after Thomas. If karen does remove herself, they want Thomas to also remove himself. Their argument was bogus. They also should have chosen a better lapdog.
