Media Matters tax-exempt status
Fox news has been making hay over the Media Matters 'war on Fox' as the 'mouthpiece of the GOP'. Their charter, apparently, is to be a non-partisan watchdog of broadcast media with the purpose of correcting inaccuracies and falsehoods.
Lately, the head of this organization has pledged to use it to directly attack Rupert Murdoch, a private citizen, and attempt to negatively affect his businesses and financial holdings.
Once this was done, it is being said this organization is in violation of it's tax-exempt status as it is now engaged in partisan activities with the direct result being to benefit the democrat party by attacking a major conservative venue on cable, and it's owners.
Has anyone filed the IRS complaint form reporting them as being in violation of their tax-exempt status ? Does anyone object to the use of tax dollars to fund partisan efforts such as Media Matters ?
