Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Insurance rant...

So my Uncle was flown out last month for a heart attack, ended up not being a heart attack and he is fine. But, he's been getting the statements for the hospital, ambulance, heli flight etc... The heli flight was $23,000. Insurance is saying that the EMS company isn't a preferred client and they aren't going to cover the cost. He didn't have a choice, the paramedics called the helicopter in, plus there are only two ships around and they are both the same company, PHI. Looks like he's gonna have a fight on his hands...

That’s enough right there to cause a heart attack.

Insurance companies are really good at boning you when you need them. Many times I have wondering WTF am I paying all this money for "insurance" when they won't cover XXX?

First go to your state healthcare administration and file a complaint. They can be very effective at resolving such an issue. Insurance companies must first answer to them regarding how they handled complaints before they are allowed to raise rates in the state.
