This one just boils my bricks. You think you have rights, think again. Watch this footage in its entirety and then try to tell me that we are free from illegal search and seizure. I got physically ill watching this crap.

Things like this don't just happen one day. They come about step by step and often the beginning steps come from very emotional reasons.
The recent ruling allowing kids in school to be questioned without a legal guardian present is one of those steps that will lead to things like this, but the plea is to save "the kids". Save their freedom and you will give them as much as anyone can give. Take it away to save them and you'll damn them like this man who was once a kid.

It's always been possible and customary to interview kids in school about possible parental abuse. The California court that ruled against it has been corrected. You are getting confused about kids being questioned about their own possible offenses and the offenses of others.
Please try really, really hard to remember that an alleged victim can be questioned about an alleged crime against the victim without the presence of the alleged perpetrator.

Building inspectors, health inspectors, etc., do have the right to enter your property if they have reason to suspect a code violation. But she never explains what her authority is in the video. Although she might have done that the day before. The deputy seems unsure of himself. He should have briefed himself on the law before showing up. The owner doesn't have to allow someone on the property just to prove he doesn't have anything to hide though and that seems to be the deputy's irrelevant point.

Like you said DLG, inspectors have the right to enter. This idiot knew she was coming and was prepared for it, hence the camera. You have the right to "unreasonable" searches. That pesky words will get you all the time. From what I see and have experienced in the past, she was from the health department inspecting his septic field. Done wrong certainly threatens the health of the entire community and therefore falls under the reasonable search.

Here, if you are doing some sort of improvement or repair, you may have to get a permit first. A building inspector has the right to come on your property to see if what you're doing requires a permit, which entails having the work approved by the building department. (If the work you are doing is all inside, they can't see it, so there is no probable cause to come in and look. But technically you are still required to get a permit and have it inspected.)
A licensed contractor will always get a permit and have the work inspected after it's done whether it's inside or outside. If the contractor has a good reputation, the inspector will often, not even show up. When we had our house reroofed, the building inspector never came by.
By the way, I'm sachiko now.

I was curious, so looked that one up... "Child of bliss." And... there were some "interesting" websites... none of which appeared to involve sheep. Thankfully.

More accurately it would translate as "happy child." The ko at the end means child. It's only used for girls so any ***anese with ko (child) at the end is a female, even if 70 years old. This drives the feminists crazy, by the way. My husband tells me "ja" works the same way in Korean.
It's my mother's nickname for me. She never calls me Stephanie.

Well, the guy can call upon the ACLU to sue these guys if he has a just cause or he can sue himself. I imagine if there is merit in his case, there are a lot of hungry lawyers ready to step up to the plate to dig into the deep pockets of a government agency -- city, county, whatever in this case.
We have seen only one side of the issue. But as has been pointed out, it may be that local law says projects -- as an example changes to a septic system -- that have the potential to effect public health must be inspected. Under that hypothetical, as another points out, the woman would not need a warrant to conduct the inspection and her search without a warrant would not invoke the "unreasonable search" criteria. I think the case is fact specific, and we don't know ALL the facts. I'm not going to get bent out of shape about this.
The first amendment doesn't give you the right to shout "Fire!!!" in a crowded theater.
