Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day to remember those who fell in battle that we may be free.

May They Rest in Everlasting Peace.

i had many friends who were WWI, WWII, and Korean war veterans. All of the WWI veterans are gone and most of the WWII veterans are gone too.

May God Bless Our Fine troops.

Last week, I visited our national capital. Went to the WWII memorial and the Vietnam Vet's memorial. Very somber...overpowering...

I can only remove my hat from atop my head, place it over my heart, and thank all the vets out there, fallen or not, for the freedom I now enjoy.

I will also apologize to them, for allowing their country to fall into the hands of the enemy they fought so valiantly against.

Thank you, all, and I apologize.

To me this is a tough holiday, I sat out in my garage yesteday and drank a cold beer and smoked a cigar to my fallen buddy's, not ashamed to say it, but tears tricked down my cheek.

I'm the tall one on the left, that picture was taken when I was a cherry, first week in country.

Thank God for the American soldier. Every one of us owe them a great debt.

This is a bit of spam, but it's a good one, and today seems like the appropriate time to do a little spamming. You'll see.

We hung out our flag, as usual, with a prayer for those who gave their lives for our country.

I lost one uncle to a kamakazie, right before ***an surrendered. Another lived through two German death marches...barely. Another nearly died from brain injuries during a manuvers exercise. I'm permenantly in an ankle brace, but not because I saw any action--blasted "confidence course" at Ft. Gordon, GA. Thought it was just a sprain back then, came back to haunt me years later as arthritus. Oh well. Lots more have given a whole lot more. They deserve our respect.
