I would wonder.... How would we, as conservative members of HNI, affect change in this regard ? I would think a large response is called for, especially from ex-vets, to counter-demonstrate at the same places and times as Westboro. I would not object to vandalizing their means of transportation because there is no hardship they should not endure (but I digress....). I would think that a permanent cadre of protesters should post outside of the Westboro Church before, during and after services and be generally the worst thing that ever happened to them. When these pieces of scat stop supporting the church's pastor, he will dry up and blow away.

The Freedom Riders (vet motorcycle group) has been keeping the peace in my parts and I guarantee you they will not allow Westboro near a funeral, if they ever came to one of my family members funeral’s I promise it would make national headlines, and there would be a whole lot less Westboro Baptist to ever protest again.

That's admirable, and I salute the Freedom Riders and their efforts.
I just hate this group who abuses rights under the 1st amendment to injure and inflict pain on grieving families of heroes fallen in battle.

Sorry if I offend...but I protect MY 1st amendment right too!
