Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Looks like Obama is siding with the Palestinians. Guess that 56% of Jews who recently said they would vote for Obama is going to shrink.

I tell ya what. This is going to be big news. I wander if all the Jews in this country will be so supportive now.

Yep, just heard Obama say he wanted Israel to move their boarder back to where it was in 1967. I guess he forgot that Israel protecting itself from the war that was declared on them (and an invasion of 100,000nds of troops), and won that stretch of land. I guess next, Obama will be giving California back to Mexico. I can see an up side to that.

LOL, MF, where did he call for the end of Israel?

And what kind of reward does Israel get for its terrorism? Billions in aid (economic, military) from the U.S. (why the wealthiest ethnic segment in the world needs my tax dollars is a mystery to me!!)? And, of course, the most favorable media coverage any country could possibly hope for. Well, I can't wait for, in his efforts to "wipe Israel off the map," him to cut all funding and support for Israel (btw, did anyone [Ahmadinejad] actually SAY that, or has it been distorted and repeated by the media over and over and over so the schmucks will believe it?). If he cuts their funding, it will be the first thing he has done that I would support. Of course, you KNOW he won't do that. NO politician in their right mind would DARE cross Israel hard. Absolute and TOTAL political suicide.

Without wanting to get pulled too deeply into this subject, a couple of suggestions. Keep the facts clear in front of you. The Palestinians did not attack Israel in 1967 -- Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and maybe someone else attacked Israel in 1967. Some of the land that Israel occupies formerly belonged to Egypt -- the Sinai Penninsula and the Gaza Strip. But some of this land belonged to Palestinians. When Obama says he advocates restoring the Palestinian boundaries to 1967 boundaries THAT is what I assume he is talking about -- he is not talking about giving the Gaza Strip or the Sinai Penninsula to the Palestinians or to the Egyptians. At least part of this discussion is about Israel establishing settlements in Palestinian lands -- seemingly unused lands, but notwithstanding Palestinian lands. Often -- or sometimes -- these settlements are peppered among the existing Palestian villages, and then the Palestians are forbidden to travel from one Palestinian village to another -- for example to work -- because there are intervening Jewish settlements. Also, while some Palestinians are terrorists and shoot rockets at Israel and are suicide bombers, other Palestinians are people with wives and children and want to provide food for the opportunity and a future for their families. Another point to remember, not every Jew in Israel wants to freeze out the Palestinians and continue to stonewall on the subject of an independentl Palestinian state. Some -- maybe upwards of 45%? -- would like to have a Palestinian state negotiated with the hope that then they can live normal lives. Possible? Probable? Reasonable? I don't know, but as I say a non-negligible number of these people feel this way.

I'm going to stay out of this argument, because there are strong passions involved in this and not that much understanding of the complicated historical and political issues involved. But I did want to indicate the above as a suggestion of at least one layer of the complexity involved.

One last point. Historically, whenever the Palestinians have had an opportunity to negotiate themselves an acceptable political deal they have overplayed their hand and demanded more -- usually demanding things that any neutral observer would appreciate would never realistically happen. They are politically disunited. They have never had a good unified politically shrewd leadership. I wonder if this trend will continue in the present instance?

The Peninsula was already return in exchange for peace. Now with Obama's blind support for the Muslim brotherhood, this peace is about to be rejected in Egypt. You can't negotiate with folks who want to wipe you off the face of the earth and Obama is a willing partner in all of this.

Obama has not only thrown Israel under the bus, he has backed up over them. As I said before, Obama is rewarding the terrorist. The will be another major war soon over there and it won't be good. This is getting real ugly.
