Bingo, going by what Obama said, I question why he went after Osama. We should have negotiated with Osama and Al Qeada. Who are we to go on the attack? We need to just sit down and talk and in the mean time, withdraw to our 1941 borders.

As strange as it seems, democrat Jewish voters are democrats first and Jews second. It doesn't make sense but then again the democrat position doesn't make sense to me either.

Something to think about if you're evening considering to lay any blame on Israel.. Let say Hamas, Iran, Syria or now even Egypt gets their way and wipes out Israel. Even just by forcing all to leave, will the middle east become more or less of a threat? Now how would the situation improve if instead Iran was to fall? Which outcome should we be working for?

I'll simply conclude by saying the voices here are awfully shrill, and shrillness does not betoken insight, understanding, or knowledge. The history is complicated. The moral status of neither party is all good or all bad. The Palestinians have a case, have greviances. I predict they will have their own state in my lifetime. I'm 55. The sooner that such a Palestinian state is established the better for the peace of the middle-east and for our peace. At least that is my opinion. You are free to disagree.
I am of the opinion that the Palestinians feel they've been robbed of their ancestral lands by the takeover/repatriation of European Jews in 1948 when the unincorporated lands of "palestine" were named ISRAEL, palestinians were dispossessed to make a home for immigrating jews from Europe... It's a complicated scenario because this is a land where a 'slight' is memorialized for a thousand years. I do not see peace in the region...I believe the palestinians will have their free state, and possibly in my lifetime (I'm also 55), but I don't see a cessation to the fighting.

I believe that while demographics say these are Jews, I believe they do not VOTE like Jews...they vote like socialists, which they are first and foremost. If you observe the Hasidic vote in Brooklyn; these are very conservative people and do not vote Democrat generally unless a Jewish candidate runs on the democrat ticket. I would think that if these ersatz Democrat/Jews were forced to spend 6 months in Israel, they might get a uniquely personal flavor of what it's like to have savages breathing down your neck and screaming for your blood. These are, in my opinion, Jews in name only.
