Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Fox News DECEPTION

The "Finally a politician who gets it" thread reminded me of a news story I meant to post awhile ago, but forgot. This year, Ron Paul won the CPAC straw poll, for the second time in a row (he also won last year). Fox News did a piece on it, but used last year’s CPAC straw poll video footage instead of this year’s. The difference? Last year, the reaction to the announcement was a bit mixed, with a few boos heard in the crowd. This year, the reaction was very, very strong in support of Ron Paul’s nomination.

But Fox’s deception could have been more subtle. They could have just played last year’s video and let the mixed reaction play on the news audience more subconsciously. Instead, they made specific reference to the booing more than once, almost highlighting it. Fox sure enjoyed making a fool out of Ron Paul when interviewed about the nomination, playing LAST YEAR’s video for him, KNOWING that he wasn’t even there.

We report. We decide.

I wouldn’t know if it was last years this year or ten years ago, I will not watch that idiot on T.V. for a minute, thank God for other channels. With that being said, I would rather kiss a pig than watch CNN!

Why is it funny? Tell me, FM...what exactly is so humorous about a news organization deliberately swapping video so that Ron Paul looks like a joke?

Me too. The point is that Fox is just as bad.

So, post the evidence that this was done deliberately. As Rev has said. Who the heck cares? They mentioned he won the straw poll. I remember that announcement. It didn't take anything away from him because they screwed up and picked the wrong link in there many cached files. It still doesn't change the fact, Ron Paul is a nut when it comes to our foreign policy.

That's what is so funny. In the words of Jerry, "much to do about nothing".

I’m sure they just picked the “wrong link.” Whoops. Easy to do. And then KEYING IN on the “reaction” (from the previous year as if it were this year’s reaction) several times was also a mistake, eh? Did you even watch the video?

“Post the proof.” Brilliant, MF. You’re off your rocker if you think this was an accident. And if you think this is much ado about nothing because you’d probably do the same thing to keep this “nut” in his place. The fact that the media pulls things like this to manipulate the public is quite serious. You disagree? Oh right, I just need to post the “proof” that this was done on purpose. Well, I’ll get right on that. I’m sure with all my contacts at Fox, this should be no problem.

Do you have any idea how many MPEG files reside on the servers at fox? Let's say it's bigger than your personal porn collection. So when you think you're selecting your favorite midget video, you mistakenly find you selected Amish girls gone bad. However, since it only involved you and your favorite past time, you can catch the mistake.

Interesting that Martha McCallum led off the clip. She's one of the network's Lefties...
