Default Trump birther

Newsmax reports today that Trump is asserting Obama's birth certificate (long form) is missing from the hospital claimed as his place of birth in Hawaii.

http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/t...mo_code=C26C-1

Trump won't say how he found this out, but it poses an interesting question:

If Obama cannot produce his birth certificate, or if he WON"T produce his birth certificate, can he run for a 2nd term as POTUS ?
I am sure that if Barry does not 'produce the goods', Trump will sue for proof of eligibility (he should, in my opinion, as it would AT THE VERY LEAST, rub Barry's face in the dirt and provide a bit of humility for our beloved CinC). While this is apparently a non-issue for lots of people, it causes me to wonder why, if it's so easily dispelled, does Obama NOT produce his long-form birth certificate ?

And what would happen during the presidential campaign if that birth certificate became a central issue as to Obama's ability to occupy the offal office ?

In my opinion, an issue is only a 'ridiculous one' if it's absurdly easy to dispel, AND THEN YOU DISPEL IT, making the other guy look like a dummy. But so far, there's been no 'dummy-fication'...

There are questions, alot of questions bergall, that a simple COLB cannot answer. I would rather see his school documents....there lies the truth.

It disturbs me a little when I see people whose intelligence I respect getting drawn in to this birther nonsense.

One more time, let's look at the reality folks. Someone is born. The hospital records the date, place, name of parent or parents, signature of attending physician, and submits it to the state. The state records the relevant information in its database and, upon request from appropriate parties, (individual or parents) issues a Certificate of Live Birth. This certificate is accepted when you enroll in school, apply for a driver's license, apply for social security, apply for a passport, for a marriage license, and other purposes.

This certificate is legal proof that "insert name here" was born in "place" on "date" to the parents named on the certificate. I have had to produce, or my mother has produced, this document on several occasions in my life. It establishes by the authority of the state that I was born in Michigan on July 17, 1990 and lists my name and my mother's name.

I have twice participated in the preparation of this document.

I don't know if fhe hospital keeps a copy of the form they submit to the state. I don't know what the state does with the form they receive from the hospital. It doesn't matter. Your birth certificate is not like a deed which they record and return to you.

Obama's performance as president frightens and disgusts me, but there is no question that he was born in Hawaii. His Certificate of Live Birth is proof of that for any purpose. That is what he will produce when he applies for social security, if social security is still around when he reaches the appropriate age.

*Putting the father's name on the birh certificate doesn not make him the legal father by the way, at least in Michigan. If the parents are not married he will be asked to sign an affadavit of paternity. (He can decline.) If the parents are married, Michigan follows Lord Mansfield's rule which says the mother's husband is the legal father.

I question whether Trump is sincere about running as a Republican, or if it is a ploy to get in the debate and damage the Republicans before they even have a chance at Obama. Got to remember all the praise Trump lavished on Obama in the past. Add that to the fact Trump has picked a stupid issue to push, the Birther issue.

Do you mean is Trump planning to run as Perot II? I'm afraid of that. And one thing that frightens me is the number of people taken in by this ridiculous "birther" issue.

Trump is a spoiler who will get the "birther" vote. About 25 percent of US citizens believe that Obama is not a US citizen. This ties in very nicely with the percentage of Americans who do not have enough sense to wipe their butts after taking a messy crap.

I agree, it's a dumb issue. It's nonsense. It's stupid. It's this. It's that. It's the other thing. But....the plain fact is, that Barry Bonobo has yet to show it.

And I really do not care if Trump runs....I have said in the past (and will always say) that I will vote for the Devil himself over Obama....take that to the bank.

The other fact is he has spent a whole heap of money (millions I understand) keeping it hidden from the public.
If he was actually born in Hawaii why hide it?
What is on the birth certificate that he doesn't want the voting public to see?

Correct me if I am wrong but aren't there at least a few states that have passed legislation that will require the long form birth certificate to be made public in order to be listed on the ballot?

How many of the states that require a candidate to show a B.C. to run for president did Obama win in 2008?
