If I thought Terry Jones had anything but his own self promotion in mind I wouldn't contradict the end of my signature line with this post.
I agree that this is an issue in America that needs to be addressed, Terry Jones is hardly the guy we need leading the charge. He's doing us more harm than good.
We would be better served if people like Gingrich, or Palin took a strong stance on this issue. We all know that the PC crap in this country is preventing that though.
That being said, I'll admit that I don't have the answers to this issue, but I'm just not seeing Terry Jones as the answer.

Then see him this way, his freedom is your freedom. Lose your freedom for a righteous cause, not give it away from a reactionary one filled with hate for another whether it be from our own hate or the hate exhibited by another. Neither is a reason to give up our only legal protection. If our enemy's see that raising a stink about something someone does here causes us to get one step closer to their end for us they will escalate their activities while we cut more and more of our nose off to spite our faces.
My answer is a strong warning, shed one drop of American blood unjustly and we will level a town to the ground leaving it not much more than a scraped rock. One drop=one town. The only thing that will save the town is if it gives up those responsible for punishment. That is how super powers controlled attacks against them before and it was a very good deterrent extending their reigns for centuries until they destroyed themselves from vice. These people understand this, do less and they will not understand.

The US government is well past the point of bankrupcy, we are fighting two wars and our economy is in the tank. The US has a population of 300 million people: There are folks who have nothing better to than obsess about our government being taken over by 6 million Muslims. Go figure.

We agree about Jones, but just for arguments sake. I wonder how many people in France, and England expressed similar sentiments when they were facing stats relative to what you quoted in their own country's.
We don't have any such issues in my area, but it would seem as though they may be developing in other regions. Note that I said "may". I guess we have to let members that are living in areas where such issues could arise weigh in on this.
On another hunting site I visit there is a member from NY who is part of a Christian group that has weekly meetings with Jewish, and Muslim leaders in the area to try and solve such issues.
