Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Those caring, charitable Democrats.

I think it is vulgar to make public charitable giving. Giving should be in private to preserve the dignity of everyone involved.

I remember growing up in Arkansas when men used to get their underwear pre-thinned at Goodwill until they learned Governor Clinton donated his to Goodwill for tax write offs.

Amen. While I hold no love for Obama, Biden or any of the current crop of vile and despicable democrats, I feel such reporting makes charitable donations a 'price of doing business' for politicians and that ain't right. It becomes a political tool when you can show a high-earning politician is not giving 'his fair share' to charity. "Giving" is a personal and private matter, and it should stay that way.

I agree 100% with that, as far as I'm concerned when you try to write off contributions you've given for the wrong reasons.

Cool

Your contributions to charity are you own private business no matter how much or how little.

I agree. I posted this to point out hypocrisy. We are told by the left we should share the wealth, yet the ones saying it do not practice what they preach.

Understood from the jump. And I agree with you. The libs ALL believe in charity, as long as it's SOMEBODY ELSE's money that's being donated. That's a given. I just think it's troubling how we now are keeping tabs on these things...I suppose it's inevitable that there is no line so low, as to be exempt from scrutiny during these bitter political battles. It's so distasteful and I really have no regard or respect for democrats whatsoever, either as citizens or as human beings...its' not right but it's a byproduct of their shrill, incoherent, incorrect and inaccurate summations and non-solutions to literally everything. I have yet to consider a national democrat worthy of the office he holds, except that I also consider his constituency to be corrupt or idiots, and hence, the reason we must endure the political chicanery we are subjected to on a daily basis.
