Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Republicans in OK (Deleted) House Kills Open Carry

Last year the Republican legislature passed an open carry bill. The Democrat governor was opposed to that bill and he vetoed it. This year the OK house killed the bill that Republicans promised to pass prior to last years election.

Despite promises to the contrary, the Republicans in the OK (deleted) house did not want open carry. They felt safe passing open carry last year knowing the Democrat governor would veto it. This year Republicans in the OK (deleted) house came up with a scheme to kill open carry, knowing that our Republican governor would sign it.

The house Republican leadership put together a committee whose purpose was to kill the open carry of handguns in the state of OK. The OK Constitution requires all bills to read on the floor of the entire House on three consecutive days. This was not done.

Who needs liberal anti-gun Democrats when you have lying anti-gun Republicans in the OK house.

Here is audio of Rep. Sue Tibbs blocking the vote for reconsidering the bill.

a couple of points, or questions rather, being unfamiliar with OK politics:
1: what was the ratio of dems to repubs in the OK legislature ?
2: can you get a 'tally' of how the reps voted ?
3: I do not know the players BUT:
- conservatives are generally pro-gun or rather, pro-civil rights
- how many of the gun-hating repubs were expatriated democrats ?
- you need to replace those pigs in the next election.

i painted the OK legislature with a broad brush and that was not fair.

Open carry passed the OK senate and i have no problem with those folks. It is the OK house that i'm po'd at.

OK Senate
D 16
R 32

OK House
D 31
R 70

Tubbs is term limited and cannot run for re-election.

We don't want you guys shooting across the border, it might just hit our next president. hahahahahaha

i have it. It's hard to do because the wonderful legislature does not give the party affiliation of those representatives voting on an issure. The Public Safety Committee has 17 members: Five are Democrats and 12 are Republicans. All five Democrats and four Republicans voted to kill open carry.

Funny, but true. I guess that is why they only sell half beer.

"half-beer" for half-wits is the same as 'whole beer' to normal folks, I suppose.
But takin' their guns from 'em...that's just wrong. Okies vote too, so I am hoping
their memories will be just fine this coming election day, being unencumbered by strong drink.....
