Kasich got pulled over for a traffic violation. At a meeting Kasich called the policeman an idiot. Apparently Kasich believes that politicians are above the law. Anyone remember congressman Janklow of SD? He thought he was above the law too.
Quote:
"Have you ever been stopped by a police officer that's an idiot," Kasich asked the seated audience, pausing his speech as he moved around the room. "I had this idiot pull me over on 315. Listen to this story. He says to me, he say, uh, he says you passed this emergency vehicle on the side of the road and you didn't yield."
and the problem was? Do you even look at this stuff when you post falcon?

After reading the attached article that Falcon included in his orignal post, it appears the governor called the policeman an idiot because the policeman wrote him a ticket for not yielding to an emergency vehicle . . . but there was no emergency vehicle present. If that story holds up, then yes, I think it is appropriate to call the policeman an idiot. It takes an idiot to write a ticket against someone for not yielding to an emergency vehicle that is not present.
If, on the other hand, an emergency vehicle WAS present, than bad on the governor. I think the issue hangs on whether there was or was not an emergency vehicle present.
If the governator had been a Democrat FM would be ...Deleted by CalHunter... His beloved Republicans get a pass, always.
falcon, should i go back and quote your first post? it wasn't even on target. You claim he felt above the law. Clearly that wasn't the case. Llike I said, do you even look at the stuff before you post?

I got pulled over for going 53 in a 60 zone. When i stopped, I was parked under the speedlimit sign that said 50. The cop came over and told me I was speeding. I asked, "what was my speed". The officer told me 53 in a 50. I pointed up at the sign and said, "I thought I was suppose to be down to 50 before I passed that sign. He walked back to his car, with his ticket book, and drove off with out as much as a sorry. I will say that officer is an idiot for trying to give me a ticket when I did not break the law. Am I wrong? If Kasich was ticketed for not breaking the law, the officer is an idiot. If he did break the law, then this is an Obama moment for Kasich and he will need to do some damage control.

there are, in fact, idiot policemen. They are embedded in a system that gives them the cover they need to do their 20 and get out with a pension. If the governor did not pass an emergency vehicle, and got a ticket for something he did not do, then the cop's an idiot.
It's just politically incorrect to refer to a LEO as an idiot...and it is perceived as being ungrateful for the life-saving efforts of non-idiot LEOs across the country.

You guys need to pull up the URL again and watch the dashcam video. It's a little further down. He did indeed pass a lit up emergency vehicle in the right lane without slowing down. He could have moved over to the left and didn't.

Bingo.
Kasich talks a good line about law and order. Guess he is has exempted himself from that.
