Bad Christian Doctors

LONG story,But true
2 years ago my wife developed a brain irregularity. Her brain does not tell her lungs to supply the proper amount of oxygen. She went in ti heart failure. Today she is still on oxygen, I must help her even to the bathroom.
The specialist doctors at this time filled out all the proper forms for disability.
Now since she basically was handed over to her family doctor the disability people required her family doctor to update the paper work.
To are Shock he filled out the papers making it appear this women on Oxygen,cant work at this time and must wear diapers could find something to work at and earn money. If she looses her 1100.00 disability ,her 800 spent on Oxygen will only leave 300 for everything else she needs. This is ridiculous!!
He the Doctor said he does not believe in any federal help, He said God will supply her needs. I ask if God is going to guide him to support her? I ask how is she going to breath?? Answer> He said God will breathe air in to her body.WHAT? Either this dude is a Christian Doctor who wants to help or does he love the money? Where does the seperation between being a christian and the Doctors oath come in to play??? we have spent lots of our own life savings keepng my wife alive. Is this Doctor Out of hand?????
I dont believe we as Americans should just give away disability to ever person who has a broken toe nail. But this is stupid. I feel betrayed by this doctor and think he should go back to the missionary fields in South America where he came from OPINIONS please

Sounds like we need a seperation of church and medicine. I have never had much use for god anyways and find blind faith to be as much of a hinderence as a help. However my mom went through a similar situation. She is on a medicine pump to keep her heart beating, can' t stand for more than a few minutes without losing all her strength, and has to be assisted to walk from one room to the other. The doctor kept saying she could do a desk job. She finally had to get a lawyer and got her disability. What really upsets me is it is really hard for people who need disability to get it while slugs like my cousin who have never held down a job for more than a few days can fake an injury and get full benefits no questions asked. So what is god doing about that? Same thing he does about everything else. Nothing.

I would be calling around for a new doctor today. Unless this doctor has the ability to lay hands on your wife and heal her, christianity doesn' t have a place in curing the ill. Unless of course your talking about prayers, and I will be saying a few for your wife and you.

Cardeer, I am so sorry. I believe in healing and I believe God answers prayers. But the mistake some people make is in thinking it always just magically happens. They don' t realize that God often uses other people and methods to get those results, he doesn' t just swoop down in person and hand you things. Why is the doctor not able to see that those disability payments are an answer to many people' s prayers? That God had helped them find a way to meet their needs?
I know next to nothing about the process of securing disability payment, but I know that many here do. I will be praying for both you and your wife that this gets resolved quickly and you recieve the help you need.

My family ran into this problem trying to get social security for a sister in law. We ended going to the state representative for our region and he helped us alot.
We just wrote him a letter and told him the bs that was going on and he got the social security people to get in gear, but it still took a year.
CD, I' ll include you' ll in my prayers, you' ll sure deserve a break.

I would be on the horn to this doctors supervisor or administrator of the hospital so quick it would make your head spin. This doctor does not have the right to make this decision !!!!

I know what it is to get disability thru...it took us 2 years for my wife, after we got a lawyer !!!

I' d report him to the AMA through a lawyer . What he' s doing violates his Hippocratic Oath , the first part is " Do no harm" , and possibly the law as well . Get a new doctor . [:@]
