Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

I find it ironic that we are doing essentually the same as Kaddafi's forces were doing. However, we are justified here.

Shades of Iran back when we though we liked them and they liked us. We never learn. Worst part about it is our tax dollars bought some of that stuff. I feel used.

Kind of like the Taliban (er, I mean Afghan Mujahideen) with the Soviets in the 70's and 80's. Funny how weapons we give to Muslim Freedom Fighters in a good cause end up being used against us later. Whoever is advising Pbama (besides Hillary) is not giving him good advice. Having said that, Obama is the CinC and responsible for getting correct information and not trying to make a Clintonian "tail wagging the dog" play like Bill did in Iraq, Sudan, Afghanistan and Serbia.

Not smart. This has been done before, and it usually hurts us. Where? Vietname. Guns to Viet Minh to fight ***anese; after WW-II, the viets still had the arms. Hmmm. Not good for the French. About as smart as teaching the mujahadine how to improvise explosives to fight off the Russians in Afghanistan. Where do you think they learned how to make those improvised bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan? Hmmm.

Biggest mistake the US ever made was to back the French colonial government in SE Asia.

The view that "the enemy of my enemy must be my friend" is probably something that needs to be re-thought, if not eliminated altogether, in the context of our foreign policies.

We're going to arm them any way, we might as well get some oil out of the deal.

The rebel leader, Abdul-Harkim Al-Hasasi, is one that we fought againist in Afghanistan and recruited Libyan rebels to fight againist our troops in Iraq. What the State Department has up its sleeve is anyones guess. Passed experience has shown that this too will come back to bite us. Again the realization wont set in until more of our troops are killed with weapons that we supplied to the enemy this day. Shear chaos, and the dust hasn't begun to settle over there, and probably wont any time soon.
