Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Your tax dollars at work

23 single mom (go figure) of 3 kids was in Panama City, FL with her girlfriends to party for the weekend while her mommy watched her mistakes. So what does she do when she feels the Burger King workers are slow? Watch

Someone tell me why do we have to continue to pay for single moms?

Cool

Mama was a single mom. We got public assistance until she turned 18 and was able to go to work in a bar. (The tips are way better.) She then worked six days a week from 6PM until about 2AM.

Some people just would rather act like animals instead of like humans with values and standards.

About 45 years ago the the US declared "war on poverty". Male presence in the home was no longer needed. Instead of continuing to make the fathers of the kids pay for their support the federal government decided to do it with your tax dollars.

i don't have a big problem with public assistance for one kid but somewhere the line needs to be drawn in the sand. Welfare queens should not be tolerated. Live-in deadbeat boyfriends who suck off the public welfare of single moms need to be put on the road gang.

I have a problem paying for any of them. 50 years ago, adoption was an option. Not anymore.

The way the system is set up now, one can make a career of welfare. The woman collecting it for her "fatherless" children and the "fathers" living off her welfare check or maybe dealing a little weed or crack on the side.

Of course the kids follow in their parents' footsteps.

My mother could have taken that route I guess, but she elected to WORK.

This is true. It is also true that a large percentage of babies born to "poor" single moms are crank babies or crack babies. I am friends with a middle aged couple who take care of kids for the state. They tell me that a crank baby is almost fatally flawed.

It's called tough love falcon. The country was founded on "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Now that has change to "my life, using your liberty, for my happiness".

It's never going to happen. Welfare in all its forms is so entrenched in this country that neither political party has the guts to do anything about it. Nothing would re-solidify the Democrat party like welfare reform and the Republicans in congress are well aware of that fact.

Work in the public schools and you will find many career baby makers. I know manuy women who have never worked a day in their life, but have several kids and not many are from the same daddy.

I think the system is really screwed up. Cut welfare and make dead beat dads pay for their kids or go to jail. Dont makem if you aint going to feedem.
