I have mixed feelings about incidents like this...I do not know if the subject was smart or stupid (well, ok...I'll cede 'foolish')... But I tend to see these people as innocent and mis-informed. I actually feel bad for them...they are obviously victims, but not of the wildlife they assault. They are victims of bambiist Bulls*** they've been exposed to since they were children, without opposing views...too bad. I'm a city kid...first time I saw a moose (a cow and a yearling calf) my instinct was "Who owns this giant animal ? Where's his leash ? Ain't he got no collar ?" at no point was the attempt made to pet the thing....cripes...ok maybe 'foolish' is an understatement of biblical proportions.....

I think she is a whole lot smarter now than she was before the incident.
