Where did we move everyone? It's been closed for over a year now, Executive Order, and everyone being held has been given their day in court. I can remember all the Obama speeches saying Gitmo was wrong and indefinite detentions without a trial was wrong, heck I also remember him signing the order to shut down Gitmo. I just don't remember seeing the reports on the trials or where they have been moved too. Can anyone help me out? Did they get relocated here in the USA? Is the a web site to see if one of them became my neighbor?

Tisk, tisk. You are crazy like a fox. Our Dear Leader has failed on that promise. Elections have consequences. Elect a fool and surround him with fools. End result = stupid. Wake up America.

It might drag on to be an election issue in 2012. A candidate wanting to keep it open could gather lots of votes. I can't think of a better place for all those terrorists.

I believe that has been suggested but most of the places, with a few exceptions, did not want to bring them into their town. Also, once on American soil, they must be afforded due process. Debate that how you will, but just another reason Obama wont close GITMO.

In a policy reversal, the Obama white house has decided to try Gitmo "detainees" by military tribunal. This policy reversal may lead to an adverse decision by SCOTUS.
Quote:
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama's decision to resume military trials for detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, will open the door for the prosecution there of several suspected 9/11 conspirators, including alleged mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
Obama's order, which reverses his move two years ago to halt new trials, has reignited arguments over the legality of the military commissions, despite ongoing U.S. efforts to reform the hotly debated system.

That might be suitable, but ONLY if all of the surrounding farmland is converted to pig farms, all local crops are fertilized with pig manure, and a rule is put in place that all food for the prisoners must be grown within 1/2 mile of the prison...
Actually... too close to where much of my family lives. I wouldn't want all that terrorist scum in the vicinity. The idiot-in-chief made a stupid promise, based on moronic thought processes, in order to garner votes from fellow idiots. Somehow, he has managed to "learn" that the previous President had it right...

I can.
The bottom of the ocean. They have been proven repeat offenders. There is only one sure fire solution to prevent repeat Muslim Terrorists. Drop them from the back of a C-130 at 30k Ft over the Atlantic Ocean.
