Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default U.S. sets $223 billion deficit record. Largest in history

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...-deficit-ever/

Larger than the entire 2007 deficit. Way to raise the bar Obama.

Butt, don't you know, we CAN spend our way out of DEBT?

If I tried to do with my personal life what the government is doing to the Nations finances I would already be in Prison.

Train wreck a coming! We need serious cuts in federal spending on the level of Rand Paul planned. However, we have Republicans calling for a measly 61 billion and Dems not calling for a single dime of real spending cuts but calling 11 billion in cuts from a spending bill they never passed in the first place.

100 billion in duplicated services does not even begin to cover it. The entire US government is a conglomeration of agencies that overlap. The US taxpayers could save a half trillion dollars every FY by streamlining and eliminating agencies.

No political hack in DC dares to touch the wonderful Dep't of Homeland Security budget. After all, that agency claims to have "kept us safe". There is a conglomeration of federal "intelligence" agencies that have failed time and time again in their "missions". There are tens of thousands of contract personnel working in the lucrative "intelligence" business.

1. Eliminate the BATFE.
2. Eliminate the Dep't of Homeland Security. This agency was designed to put another cushion between the federal agencies and the white house.
3. Eliminate the DOE.
4. Eliminate the DEA.
5. Eliminate the Dept' of Education.
6. Eliminate several of the so called "intelligence agencies" and fold their missions, if they have one, into the CIA.

Scroll down to the list of Independent government Agencies and Corporations:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...nd_commissions

Now tell me why at least half of these money sucking organizations cannot be eliminated.

BTW: As a middle aged accounting major i was taken somewhat aback to learn that one of my required courses was entitled Non-Profit and Governmental Accounting. Yep, the principles are the same.
