Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Gov't Health Care: A VA Horror Story

A VA dentist in Dayton, Ohio did not sterilize his instruments or change his gloves between patients. Nine of his patients test positive for hepatitis.

BTW: All these veterans are 100 percent disabled due to their military service. Only 100 percent disabled veterans get VA dental care.

In keeping with the US gov't policy to never fire anyone, the dentist was allowed to retire.

After a dentist at the Dayton VA Medical Center admitted to not washing his hands or changing gloves between patients during an 18-year period, 375 veterans were tested for hepatitis and HIV.
Seven of the 375 have since tested positive for Hepatitis C and two for Hepatitis B, according to Sledge. Test results are not complete.

I'm very well connected in the dentist field. You would be surprise at what crap is going on behind the scenes.

One reason I don't go to the VA for squat! I have free medical for life, but I'd rather die than have them kill me.

Same here. A friend of mine went to a VA clinic for years. Ralph came to me sick and i sent him to my Dr. The Dr. found a spot on Ralphs lung about the size of a half dollar. Seems like the VA forget to inform Ralph of the results of two annual chest X-rays. The Dr. went to the VA clinic and looked at the X-rays. Sure enough there was a spot on the first X-ray about the size of a dime. On the second X-ray it was bigger than a quarter.

Ralph sued the VA and got about $600,000 but money is no good to a dead man. He went through chemo and radiation treatment and died a horrible lingering death.

+1

I am retired military and REFUSE to go to the VA. I have been in a few VA clinics before (not as a patient), and the doctors in there scare the daylights out of me!

I remember a few times when I was "duty driver" with a gov't vehicle and had to pick up a patient. The things I saw, would make your hair stand up! Thank God I was never a patient or had to have any procedure done!
