Default Gas Prices

Has anybody notice how much gas is going up, 20 cents in the last 5 days, 3.35 here in Morgantown. I looking at 4.00 dollars by Memorial Day, a 32 gal tank = 128.00 fill-up.

You'll think that is cheap when you're paying 5.00 for it, just give two more months.

Remember, Obama has shut down drilling here in the US. They have closed a lot of drilling in the gulf, despite being held in contempt of court, shut down both coasts for drilling and gone after drilling in Alaska. This administration wants gas prices high.

It might not be an option.

Obama has a lot of Volts he needs to move. I heard right now only something like 350+/- have sold to date. I bet most if not all bought by local, state or federal governments.

Any hint of trouble in the middle east becomes a license to steal from the American people by the gas companies. We have stockpiles of gasoline, yet the prices jump overnight, and isn't it interesting that it happened just a day after all the local news stations started talking about $5 gas this summer?
Fact is, Libya is ranked as the 17th leading oil producer, and something like 80-90% of its oil goes to Europe......so why am I watching prices here in the states jump so drastically overnight? Only answer I can come up with is corporate greed.
....but then again, we as a nation only have ourselves to blame. We should have/could have seen this coming back in the mid 1970's when the Arab oil embargo hamstrung us......but no, crisis over, and it's back to snafu. Then the Ayatollah took over in Iran in the early 80s, and again, gas prices sky rocketed. People bitched and complained, but then other things became more 'news worthy" and we forgot all about it. Its happened several times since then, but we as a nation are not only short sighted, but have short term memory and no knowledge of history.
