Hi All, I have been out canvasing for a Dem up here due to a special election.. Yeah, that is right a Dem.. You know your ordinary dem that likes to beg for your tax dollars ..LOL Actually she is a great person to sit down and talk with. She lost a son due to a raod side bomb in Iraq. She has a husband that is a registard Maine Guide that she works with. She is a school teacher at 2 schools up here teaching Spanish.. She has gotten donations to put some kids threw summer camp along with bible school and ect.. In the name of her son that was killed. She has another son that is a corrections officer.. As well as quite a few other things going on as well. The way I see she will make a grea rep if she gets elected.
Just not your typical dem is she.. At least not the type of dem you may think all dems are. Just goes to prove some wrong on here doesn't it..
You didn't educate us on anything other than she was nice. Nice is nice but you can do anything with nice.

Yeah, I guess my point is how many of you preach "All Dems are Anti to gun owners". I guess with her husband being a guide taking folks out hunting and fishing and the like she must hate them right?

Not my largest voting issue by far. Right now we have an out of control federal budget that is being killed via entitlements. That's my biggest issue. Just because your old, you shouldn't get rewarded by being allowed to live off the backs of others.

Most private businesses pay into it per a contract. Here it used to be manage by all that were into a pension plan and it is still well funded. What the company want is to limit it out so they take the coffers. They all love to steal the money. They last manager even bragged how the company never even paid a dime into it. So they want to steal all that is left if they can. Now with the states poorly managing the pensions it all comes back on the backs of the workers that thought they are invested in it. It shows how poorly managed the states are. Just like stealing money from the general funds to finance other issue while trying to cut taxes.

If she's really pro-gun, pro-hunting, and pro-Christian, why in the world is she running on the dem ticket?
I know it happens--it happens here in local politics--I just have no idea why. I hope to corner one of them and find out. My guess is because there are so many yellow-dog dems in the area, and politics is politics--got to run on the ticket the yellow dogs will vote on to get elected.
Other than that it makes no sense whatsoever for someone who is pro-hunting, pro-gun, and pro-Christian to run on a ticket when their national platform and their party leaders are the polar opposite.

Phil, not the liberty and freedom I was talking about. I was referring to real liberty and freedom. The kind that allows me to choose what I'm going to do with my liberty. Not the liberty of you reaching into my pocket and helping yourself. So please tell me, which liberty does she believe in?
