Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Oil prices surged on the news. Brent crude rose to 29-month highs, helped by Middle East jitters over clashes in Iran, Yemen and Bahrain that raised concern about disruption to oil flows.
Surprise surprise surprise!

What does Israel have to worry about? They're the only country in the region with NUKES. Oh wait, they don't have nukes. They've never disclosed that, or been subjected to ANY of the scrutiny (including INSPECTIONS) that other nations with nukes or nuclear ambitions are subject to. It's a figment of my imagination that they have NUKES.

Bingo!!! Israel gets special dispensation.

Our country is being reduced to the status of a third world craphole and folks are worried about Israel. Go figure.

I'm sure Obama, and the traitors who support him, are just giddy about this. Obama wants $5.00/gal gasoline. It will aid him in destroying our economy by stalling growth, thereby decreasing tax revenues and increasing our national debt to unprecedented levels, and increasing trade deficits and the redistribution of our country's wealth to countries that want to destroy us...

No kidding. And meanwhile we give BILLIONS in aid to Israel in one form or another. I don't recall the exact figure, but I think the per capita amount is something ridiculous, like $25K per head. And, if I recall, we gave them a nice fleet of F15s recently. Around the time of the whole Wikileaks deal.

Just curious... Are you talking annually? Or since the formation of Israel in 1949?

Not endorsing this site WHATSOEVER...I have no idea what it's about. I'm just quickly pulling some stats that back what I have already researched. Looks like a conservative estimate for 2008 was 2.4 billion.

http://www.wrmea.com/component/conte...4-billion.html

And though I CERTAINLY don't lend any credence to Time, this article suggests $3 billion annual support.

http://www.time.com/time/nation/arti...973983,00.html

So I definitely still need to work on remembering where I got that $25K/head figure. With a population of approx 7.5MM, that figure doesn't jive with just $3 billion in aid.
