Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Mubarak Resigned

The Egyptian military is in control of the country. Resolute people can drive a despot from power.

Oh yea, now lets see what will happen. I honestly don't believe those people will be any better off in 10 years. Just mark my words.

Once you have free elections in Egypt, they'll be free to vote into power anyone they like, Muslim extremists etc. That's a free republic. Might even vote in a terrorist regime like Hamas in Palestine.

We'll have to wait and see what falls out for the Egyptian People. I wish them well and wisdom for their future elections, if they ever happen.

This could get real ugly. The Muslim Brotherhood has stated they will not honor treaties with Israel. This could lead to some serious problems in the Middle East. I also question our ability to access the Suez Canal.

Yes they can, but who are they?

If the guy was all that he'd of had the military shut them up.

In any event the Egyptian people have a good chance at electing a viable government. Will that government play the US game right down the line? The answer is no.

For many decades the US has interfered in the political affairs of other countries. Notable examples are Chile and Iran. In the early 50s the CIA and the Brits stirred up unrest in Iran that lead to overthrow of duly elected Iranian Prime Minister, Mossadegh. The corrupt and despotic Shah was put in power. We all know how that one played out.

It is unlikely that Egypt will go the way of Iran but only time will tell.

BTW: Mubarak is worth billions, high billions.

Is it just me that finds it troublesome that Obama is praising the total disregard of a nation's constitution along with embracing a military coup? Seems to me the rule of law should have been what the president should be praising.

Big picture thinking! However, the more I see the less likely I believe that a Democrat will be the one to end this government, just to accepting of the peoples wish's and I think that's about all there is to his position. Republicans are more likely to damn the river and change it's course.

Nothing happens in a bubble. Every action has an equal but opposite reaction. The actions of rebellion in Egypt could empower our government to enact stricter laws. "Seems to me the rule of law should have been what the president should be praising"

If you believe government is ever the answer than yes they might. The people have a chance to do right, tough job in a world hell bent on doing wrong.

More than likely the next step will be to punish mubariks supporters, root'm out. People will turn in people because what they have can be there's. If, on the other hand the people prove other wise, if they do right, what will that say about people who are just as hell bent to paint them radical religious zealots who want everyone else dead? If they do right they are a people who will walk in here and take this country after we waste our resources on lust and greed.

Martial law isn't something the people gambled on, it's what they got though.
