If yall could save the sarcasm, i know its asking alot, I would appreciate it...ok maybe 1 sarcastic remark from everyone, but no multi-casm's ok!
I have never been into politics. I aint gonna lie, its boring to me.
But I am wondering where I am, in political eyes if you will.
So im wondering.....am i blue or red, right or left? Elephant or Donky..that is a donkey right? whats the terminology?
im sure i could Google and read all day, but i need a bottom line here.
I wish there was a flat tax, (when ya buy something, you pay the tax right there, no more income tax),so illegals paid tax too...color and/or side?

I like space exploration. color and/or side?

I hate paying taxes, but like it when 9-1-1 will show up, the roads are nice and my kids are gettin a good education.color and/or side?


I hate paying for welfare and they dont give drug test! color and/or side?

Love being able to buy/sell guns at will. color and/or side?

I hate pollution, I think humans are the Earth's cancer, but i like smoking my $5 stogies and drivin a gas guzzin truck thats loud as hell. color and/or side?

I would label you as someone to the Right. Conservative. That is based on the majority of what you state. To label anyone would be impossible. I am very conservative on most issues, but liberal on a few. If I had to label myself, I would say I was a conservative libertarian.


By the way, what part of east Texas are you in. I’ve spent a lot of time in North east Texas. From Farmerville to Ore city and everywhere between. I use to hunt in Huges Springs,Daingerfield, Lonestar , Marshall, etc. etc.. Actually, my brother died in Lake O the Pines

i dont get liberal, and stuff like that..i dont know the terminology.
we just sold our land in jefferson tx, 1 mile crow flies from lake o the pines...off 49 johnson creek area....ne side of the lake.
we used to do the race track down there..hallsville? i ferget name of the town....
we would go through all those towns though, headed out there...south on 49 from I30..well most of them, and i know the others. we would go through marshall if we took 20 in, and thats where the only walmart is lol
now we are in buffalo and sulpher springs...the hunting is way easier lol..east tx can break a guy tryin to get a stick n string buck. hunted there fer 4 years before i got a hog..stik n string..1st year out here and wham, bag em n tag em...not many hogs i seen though. thats a bad, and a good i guess.

Not trying to be harsh, but w/ all due respect, I would call you a liberal, like most libs you claim to care about the environment but of course, do nothing to reduce your own pollution, this is the left in a nutshell. LIbs are the same way on guns, they want them for themselves but everyone else has to jump through hoops "to reduce crime". Libs l also want eveyone else to pay taxes so we can fund every public service under the sun , but they hate paying taxes themselves.

"Big Tent" a term for being more inclusive.
Elephant - symbol of the Republican party
Donkey - symbol of the Democrat party

Conservatives believe in smaller government and less taxes. Conservatives believe in the power of the individual. That more government stifles freedom, individual achievement and individual creativity through government regulation, programs and taxes.

Liberals believe that more government is better. And more taxes are needed to pay for that bigger government. In the liberal view the government is elected by "the people" and so has the consensus of "the people" and so government cannot do wrong since it is government "by the people." Smart people work in government and so they are better equiped to make determinations for those who are not as smart, capable, etc. So liberals try to use more and more laws to provide for the people.

There is a lot more to it, but that should help get you started.

Now the above was my attempt at being unbiased. My biased way of explaining the differences between conservatives and liberals goes like this:

A conservative is a conservative and does not really care what others do so long as you leave them (us) alone.

A liberal is a liberal and expects everyone else to live by liberal standards. If you refuse to do so a liberal will take your money and use the power of the government and the courts to force you to live by liberal standards.

well, i recycle, buy recycled stuff...pick up trash, dont litter..ya know i do what i can, the best i can..how many people you know with 2, 75 gallon recycle containers? im the only one in my whole neighborhood that does, ad fills them more than the other non recyclables.
in my line of work, gotta drive the truck, cause i gotta get paid, or be a bum!!! easy one there.
i hate payin fer bs with tax money, but we need roads, schools and stuff like that? am i crazy?

I disagree with the above description of conservative, thats a libertarian. A conservative is someone who actually believes that society is based on laws and standards not the whims of the mass. Conservatives also use logic and the truth to address issues even though the truth may be offensive to some. Conservative believe in an individuals right to PERSUE wealth and happiness, not the right to other peoples property like liberals do.

I liberal basically uses their emotions and political correctness to address issues. The believe the govt. should regulate every element of society and that the govt should redistribute wealth by taking from the people who generate wealth ,and giving it to people who dont compete in society, basically for votes. Basically liberals and the left belive in big govt and social/racial justice. The green movement is also a big elemnet of the liberal movement , and is IMO the single biggest threat to the growth and future of the American economy. Not to mention it is a complete fraud.

Nothing wrong with that. Recycling is a good thing, and like you I have to drive to work.

Sounds to me like you are a Moderate, having some beliefs that are core to both major parties.

Nothing wrong with that either, I find myself that way often times. I share some beliefs of the democrat and republican party and a few of the Libertarian party.

I think the 2 party system is inefficient and doesn't produce the best outcomes.

It does however serve one powerful purpose, it keeps us working joes arguing and chasing our tails while the rich and powerful run things as they see fit.
