Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Man faces misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty after his dog kills young raccoon

http://www.mlive.com/news/jackson/in..._charge_o.html

Hope no one sees me and my dog after the squirrels around my house. It is an all out assault on tree rats at my house. I will kill them any way possible. I’m tired of the little turds tearing up everything around my house.

there is a right way and wrong way to do things,
sending in a dog when you have all the tools at your disposal to trap is wrong,
unethical yes,
Illegal? think thats stretching things a bit.

According to the article, there are controls in place which do in fact make this look like a boundary was crossed. Too bad....had he shot it with a .22 there'd be nothing said about it. Personally, I tend to believe the criminality was there...just on the face of it, it sounds like he made his dog kill a coon. It's not much, but it's the law where he lives and as a guy engaged in wildlife/animal/critter control, he should know better.

Every morning, when I let my dogs out, I sick them on the squirrels in my back yard.

There's a couple differences there:
1: they are probably ready to knock the door off the hinges to get
the squirrels
2: there are no witnesses
3: there are no cameras around hearing you 'sick-em...sic'em !'

For all intents and purposes, it's natural predation by one animal on another. Not three guys egging a dog on to kill a captive animal.
It's a fine point, but generally speaking, the more witnesses you have to an event, the more cautious one should be....heheheh

WELL mr. m. blumer MUST BE OUT OF HIS BLUMMING MIND. I guess if you had a rattlesnake in your garage he would want you trap and dispose of it properly. What I would do is call Mr. Blumer evertime I had a criddle where I did not want it and let him come over in person and give me instruction on what I need to do. The only reason we had to have the 2nd lawyer in this country is because we got the 1st one. Jim

Cool

The law is the law. Our civilization is based on law. Anyone who believes he is a special person to whom the law doesn't apply is no better than the thugs down in the hood.

You humans have laws It's what make you different from us critters
