Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Joe Manchin, WV you could have done better

As Govenor during the healthcare debate. I fully support Obamacare. As the Democrat Senator trailing the Republican by 10 points on the Chris Mathews show in October. " Knowing what I know now with all the hidden costs and such....I wouldn't have voted for Obamacare". This week when it came time to vote for repeal of Obamacare, Joe Manchin, how do you vote? NO!!!!!

I hope WV remembers this in 6 years!

I know all about Joe, West Virginian's will vote for him, no matter what you think or say. Joe is constantly pulling splinters out of his butt, from riding that fence.

Problem is the WV Republicans have not put forward a viable candidate for US senator in decades.

Not true. The lst one was viable. In fact as I already pointed out, he was 10 points ahead I. oct. Then comes the national money and the campaign adds questioning his wife's allegiance ti WV. Seems she enjoyed living in sunny Florida during the winter.

You are exactly right , and Rease was a good example of that. That senate seat was ripe for the taking, people were tired of Byrd and his bad image, The state had went for McCain, when surrounding red states like Virginia and North Carolina, went for Obama.

The RNC and the Republicans' had the perfect opportunity in WVa and missed it.

Rease has a image problem, he had failed on numerous times in different races to win. He is the quintessential business man and conservative, many in WVa dislike him for this reason. We are a Democratic state.

hmm the last sentence says it all. How do you over come the old union mentality of WV? The same mentality that ruined the steel mills when they had a chance to turn it around. The same mentality that votes for the very people looking at shutting down the coal industry? The younger generations have fled the state. So tell me again what the republicans are to do if the older generation are against a conservative? They are suppose to put forth a RINO?

You hit it right on the head, WV is slowly changing, people in WV realize the cap and trade would kill the coal industry, Obama is anti-capitalist, using agencies like the EPA circumvent the congress to implement a carbon tax. All these polices will cost WV coal jobs. People in WV are not happy about this fact.

I can't answer your question with any degree of certainly, just to say look the 2008 president election. If unemployment remains high, and gas prices stay up especially hits 4.00 dollars, Rino or Conservative, Obama is history in WV in 2012.
