Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

The mayor was doing his job. North side folks got stuck on Lake Shore Drive after they were warned about the off-lake breezes and lack of visibility. And, stuff happens. People were rescued from their stopped cars and given shelter in warming buses. That's pretty nice. City transit (which I use) never stopped running, that is, the trains. The commuter train for the south side and the city buses are running, too.

Since this is a college town, I can tell you that I pushed out some folks from New Hampshire, Indiana, Missouri and Minnesota today. Not everyone can drive in the snow and you can get a four-by stuck.

If you want to know where the president of the Cook County Board was, I talked to her yesterday while she was walking her dog. Her block had not been plowed, either. At least the mayor and the governor were in town for the emergency situation!

Hmmm, perhaps he might want to speak to those who got stuck on Lake Shore. One of them was pretty pissed he stayed in the background and never stepped up. But then again, I guess thats what you call doing his job, nothing!!!!!

I love it, Beau claims Daley was doing his job. Daley said and I quote " This is not a Daley show.” Too funny! Many people on Lake Shore agree with that statement.

I guess you are not familiar with Lake Shore Drive and when the warnings went out. There were many blockages due to the snow and not much the mayor or anyone else could have done.

But, from a distance, you go ahead and lay blame.

You are entertaining.

You don't say these things with a straight face do you? I thought being there to guide the plows, give moral support, answer the phones while driving one of the plows was the minimum the Mayor could do.

Tell me your not for real. LOL
