Default Released Murderer Registry!?

Saw it on the news tonight, IL House Bill 263 to create a murderer registry!

Strongly urge you to contact your local politician and encourage them to pass this bill! Especially if you're in IL!

Would like to see it expanded to include all felons.

If outside of IL perhaps write your congressmen and encourage them to create a murderer registry in your state/complete felony registry.

Why? Isn't this just an admission they f'd up in the first place by letting them out?

Exactly!

Ever looked at the sex offender registry?
I'd say 25% look like college kids who hooked up with their hs age girlfriend or something.

personally I'd rather know about the murderer living next door to me than the the 21yo who got busted and listed on the sex offender registry for fingering his hs girlfriend.

How many teenagers have found their way on that list because of a mad parent and bad law enforcement?

Tons!
Way too many. Not to mention most are felons because of it.

I think a murderer registry would help shed some light on this matter.

When you have murderers, pedofiles, and Johnny High schooler, who are your worried about?

The unweeded mom with a new born sucking off the teat of the government and in return gives us back a felon!

We do not need a murderer registry. What the country needs is real truth in sentencing. Here in OK the sentence that is meted out by the judge bears very little resemblence to the sentence served. Except for some murders and violent kidnappings, the perp serves about 10-20 percent of his sentence in prison.

In some states life without parole does not mean that the scumbag will die in prison. There is an out for the politically connected and the well heeled. In OK the parole board recommends that the life without mercy sentence be reduced and the governor signs off on it: Done deal!!!

Couple of years ago the movers and shakers in OK started a drive to get one iof their favorites released from his life with no parole sentence. Everything went well for them until our governor refused to sign off on the deal.

End Of Rant

Really!!!
This is the sex offender registry for area code 73505. Now tell me just how many of these scumbags are 18 year olds who has consensual sex with 15 year old girls.

The 3 closest to me are under 25 at the time of the crime...one was 19.

maybe it's a state to state problem...

Also when the age of consent is 16 vs. 17 vs. 18 depending on your state, that alone probably reduces the number of young men who get convicted.

It's crazy to me what's a crime in one state isn't in another.

So once again ya it would be nice to have murderers stay in prison, but they don't, so until then these murderers shouldn't register while some 20yo does?

Quick google search of OK, tier 1 sex offenders in OK aren't even shown on registry results! so perhaps OK is fairer than other states...so no wonder you don't see any 20 somethings on your search results.
