Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Irony.

I have to share this. My neighbor was a big Obama supporter and worked hard to help get him elected. He is a restaurant owner and adorned his restaurant with Obama posters during 2008. Yesterday, while working in the yard, my neighbor and I struck up a conversation. It lead into him complaining about his business. He said his business has gone down the drain. He told me me that he had to fire a few of his employees. He also started complaining about how he doesn’t think he will be able to keep the doors open due to the fact he will have to start providing health coverage for his employees or pay a fine. He even said he hopes that congress is successful in repealing Obamacare. I couldn’t help but say, "Sorry to hear it, but you got what you voted for". He had absolutely nothing to say after that. All he did was look down and shake his head.

aah to be a fly on the wall during that exchange....I am finding lots of situations cropping up in casual conversation where I just say 'that's part of the change you voted for'...or...'that's your man, what's the matter ?".....the self-satisfaction is orgasmic (dare I say that tingles run up my legs ?) but short lived as we all circle the same common drain caused by the Demokrat progressives pulling the plug on capitalism and the American Way.....

I hate it for him--I know first-hand how hard it is to keep a small business afloat...but at the same time, it seems the guy won't admit he contributed to his own problems, and probably wouldn't change a thing if he had it to do all over again.

It's why, while I wish them no harm specifically, I DO wish them all the repercussions of their vote. The ones looking for those free 'gummint' handouts are the ones who will suffer first and hardest and longest. Good. They get no sympathy from me, becuase I will also eventually suffer, and as a direct result of their stupidity, arrogance and greed.

Also never a bad idea to keep silent about politics when in the service industry, especially since most of the customers were probably not supportive of the same position. What may not be bad politics can still be bad business.

That was one of his biggest mistakes. His buisness dropped, big time, once he started pushing his politics.

I forgot to mention. (Keep in mind this is my neighbor, so I do not get in political discussions with him and try to keep things civil. ) This guy also griped about the stimulus bill last year. He said to me, "I’m a business owner on the brink, where is my stimulus," and went on about how Bush got all this started. I just try to smile and bite my tongue. In this case, I did say, “Obama just took a page from Bush and took it to a new level”. Which he tried to refute with some futile attempts to link the stimulus bill to paying for Bush’s mistakes.
