Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default WA. ST Victims get screwd by supreme court

Some of you know that my 18yr old nephew was beaten to death in 99. He was at a party and 3 guys were bored and stomped his head into the sidewalk. 1 of those guys pleaded guilty to second degree murder and received 18yrs. He only has to serve 85% of that sentence. Another was aquitted [:@]. After that trial a juror said the sentence was just to severe. But that shouldn' t be their concern, it' s either guilty or not guilty. The third Ass%$#@ was convicted of 1st degree murder and sentenced to 28yrs again he only has to serve 85% of that. Now our Omighty state supreme court has overturned the jury conviction to manslaughter[][:@]. So now he gets resentenced to who knows what, timed served? If you think convicts have more rights than you, your right!!! My family and I are so tired of getting slapped in the face and kicked in the nuts by our so called justice system.[:' (]

I' m very sorry to hear that, BlackLab. And I am sorry about the death of your nephew. It sucks that your family has had to go through the whole court process and now has to do it again. I know that there really isn' t such a thing as ' closure' when it comes to the death of someone you love, especially when they were murdered, but having crap like this happen makes it hard to heal at all.

Thankyou hntngirl. This decision just brings everything all back. But it' s worse cause their triing to overturn the conviction. Not only ours but all murder convictions through assault. This decision can effect 400 cases in WA. [:@]

Sorry to hear that BlackLab. I think it' s sad that some people devote their whole lives to these pro-bono criminal rights organizations.

These people who murdered your nephew should rot in jail forever on a bacon and lard diet.

Thanks Carpicon, What' s really bothersome is we wrote letters to the justices telling them our concerns and we get a reply your message was received. Contacted the media and they barely reported it. Just seems like nobody cares cause it didn' t effect them. But the reality of it is it effects everybody.

I feel for you Black Lab. It' s disgusting what our justice system has been turned into. I think this is the area of our government that has been hit the hardest by liberalism and it sucks!

I won' t tell you what I would do.

Oh my god.. I did some quick research, do you know what these idiots are doing in Washington state??

they are cutting back on the number of violent felon teenagers being pushed into adult court because they claim that long stints in the big house " do nothing to curb recidivism" .....

Good thing they place so much emphasis on the health and well being of these violent criminals and crap all over the victims.
