Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Talking Time for Change?

Our forum is now a tabula rasa. It's time to fill it with new ideas.

Here's one: How about everyone who fancies him/her self a conservative pick the Republican candidates most likely to win and send a mere $20 to his/her campaign.

(I added that "her self" to be politically correct. I think I'm the only female who posts here. Although I'm suspicious of some of the liberals who come across as a bit girly. I can recognize girly 'cause I'm pretty girly myself.)

Is this your way of saying the forums are hosed and it is time to start over again?

DLG,
I think it's a good idea to pick a candidate and support them. I think the herself line is a political reality. Women, like other "groups" of voters (such as minority groups, males, etc.) are getting more engaged in politics and should become more involved. I think pretty much all groups are finding out that the loud "vocal minority" within their group is not accurately reflecting the majority of each group's views or wishes. These group "minorities" drive their own narrow interests and ignore important items for the rest of each group. With the increasing deficits and government crises, that is probably going to change, as it should.

I'm thinking Beau is going to be running around in a few circles figuring out what I mean about minorities within each group and especially a minority within a minority.

Rasa was always jealous because Selassie was picked to coach the Ethiopian Olympic marathon team.

(And what's funny is Rev probably does think Rasa is an Arabic man. But then where he's from, when they say the "breed farm animals" they mean they actually breed farm animals.)

And my sisters and I are very much opposed to that kind of activity.

That's the problem with sheep. Their mouths say no but their eyes say yes.
