U.S. debt tops $14 trillion.
Please take note of when the major rise started. 2007, now who was holding the purse strings from that point on? Love the climb during this last two years as well.
Most people will not bat an eye at these numbers. It's just another trillion here and there. Whats the difference. Politician only worry about staying in power and doing whats best for themselves.
We will see some devastating times in America soon.

that's an understatement. As usual, the rich will be able to ride out these times...it is the people who most supported this sort of garbage who will pay for their folly. For those who are 'idealogues' and voted "D" with their conscience because John was too old, and Sarah was too ditzy...well, this is their legacy. For me, I will survive the coming devastation, and my conscience is clear.

I feel the same way. And they will expedite the process by insisting that we pony up the loan money they gave us. Something we will never be able to do. I wonder what parts of America is going to become China's. About all we have for capital is land.

Much as that seems the obvious choice (the ChiComs calling in their chits), I don't believe they can do it. IF they do, we will default.
ONce we default, the chinese currency will take a huge hit (as will their credit rating) because if we owe them so much, and don't pay, then THEY DON"T HAVE IT EITHER. That's phase 1....phase2 will be when we pay back, the dollar will be so devalued, they'd get nothing for their money. The commies have to sit on their hands and just follow what's happening, I would think.

I like you’re out look better than mine. Something to note, I just read an article that China has stated that they will preemptively strike any nuclear country with nukes if they are threatened.
