Well, the governor's action in leaving when he knew the storm was bearing down on his state is being called: "The Opposite of Leadership". This guy made a big mistake and is too self-involved to realize it. If he doesn't want to govern he shouldn't be governor.
"The WSJ’s Metropolis blog reports that Mr. Christie, who was on a family vacation to Disney World during the storm that dumped nearly three feet of snow on parts of the Garden State, relieved Senate President Stephen Sweeney of his acting-governor duties Friday morning.
The first-term GOP governor, who is often mentioned as a possible dark-horse presidential candidate for 2012, said at a Friday news conference that while in the Sunshine State he was in constant touch with New Jersey officials about the storm and the cleanup, and he blamed local governments for tardy snow removal and the news media for the flap over his absence.
“I wouldn’t change the decision even if I could do it right now,” Mr Christie said, according to the Star-Ledger in Newark, N.J.. “I had a great five days with my children. I promised that.”
I guess he should have been home shoveling the sidewalks.

"To make matters worse, Christie's Lieutant Governor Kim Guadagno is vacationing in Mexico, leaving Senate President Stephen Sweeny -- a Democrat -- in charge.
"We clearly made a mistake if we created the office lieutenant governor and wasted money if the lieutenant governor is not going to be here when the governor is out of state," New Jersey Democrat Sen. Raymond Lesniak told New Jersey's Star Ledger. "It's being handled very well by Sen. Sweeney, but you have to really question the purpose of the office."
Guadagno is the state's first lieutenant governor. She was in Mexico when the blizzard hit.
Christie left for vacation on Sunday -- the same day Sweeney declared a state of emergency in New Jersey -- with his wife and four children."

Remember, state of emergencies are called out for all major snow storms because that allows parking restrictions to go into effect in order for the plows (if not doing a work slow down) to clear the roads.
