Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Cool Biden on gay marriage

He says it's inevitable.

How did a perversion become cool?

Simply put, when you remove God from the equation, there are no set moral standards. Sure, people who claim to look to God for a standard will still vary, just like SCOTUS judges vary, but just like the Constitution keeps them from going overboard, the Bible sets the standard for those who believe in it.

Throw the standard away, sooner or later anything goes.

'Course I think biden claims some sort of religion, as does bho, but claiming and practicing are obviously two different things.

Years ago it was not cool at all. Sexual perverts have become a powerful a lobby. Next thing you know there will be special federal programs for gays and lesbians.

You're wrong again, as usual. I'm 20, almost 20 1/2 to be exact.

The concept of gay "marriage" is a gross insult to those of us who are in a REAL marriage.

One of the most ridiculous and dishonest statements ever made on this board.......and that's saying something.

ok, "to most under 30" it's a non issue, certainly the majority of those under 30 could care less, and support civil unions, etc...

and whatever will you do if one of your children is gay?

I'm sure you believe it's "a choice" and you're not "born" that way, course if you were born that way who would you blame? the parents? god? but of course because it's a choice you can skirt answering that question...

I don't think gay marriage is inevitable. I do think there will be more legislation that gives gays legal or federal rights such as tax write-offs, etc. in some form of civil union. I understand what salukipv1 is trying to convey but think he's misreading apathy in younger people for acceptance. I'm sure there's a certain amount of people under 30 who do accept gay marriage but most younger people (DLG excepted) tend to take a while to fully develop and discover exactly what they believe. This isn't an intended slight against people under 30. I just accept that people oft times take a while longer to figure out their beliefs these days.

I don't know if there is any data on the proportion of "under 30s" who feel it's a non-issue, but I'll agree that it's possible. Many people under 30 are not all that concerned about marriage in the first place. I'm not convinced that's a good thing though. Attitudes change with maturity though. Most people consider me to be fairly mature even though I look like a little kid.

and whatever will you do if one of your children is gay?

They would still be my children even if they became prostitutes, drug addicts, homosexuals, thieves or whatever and I would still be their mama and still love them. However if one of them tries to tell me they were born gay, I'll slap him/her silly because that's just nonsense.

I don't believe it's a choice, I know it's a choice. Since it's a matter of personal choice, you would have noone to blame but yourself if you wanted to blame someone.

I'm helping out be providing the necessary word count to allow this post to post
