Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

The spin being applied by both sides regarding the Bush Tax Cuts decisions is nothing short of amazing.

The Bush Tax Cuts were widely condemned as benefiting only the rich, yet both sides agreed on the majority of them. The only argument was about the $250k+ brackets.

Still the spin is put forth that the right is robbing social security to put money in the pockets of the rich.

I have no doubt that the bulk of the Bush program will be passed. Never did really. It would be hard for anyone to seriously argue that we need a tax hike at this moment in time and in the wake of what was already passed by the present crew.

i also heard wild and hysterical condemnation of the POTUS last night by my compatriots on the left. They were complaining that this would grow the deficit. the irony was palpable.

So now I have a question. Now that the Republicans have been called all these names and or liken to these folks and given the fact that the federal judge said he can't get involved with the way the executive branch conducts it's war on terrorism which allows the assassination of Al Wakey, the American born terrorist, should the Republicans now be afraid of assassination?

I thought I saw numbers thrown around the other day that the Bush Tax Cuts amounted to $700 Billion for the "rich" and $3 Trillion for everybody else. Not quite sure how anyone who isn't a Democrat or an idiot would define that as "tax cuts for the rich."

Was I being redundant?

As to the use of the word "hostage," I think President Obama will be remembered for having a knack for a poor choice of words, just as President Bush will be remembered for another of clumsy phrases and the continuous use of nucular.

In Obama's case, I think some of his choices inadvertently define his hostility.
