Yeah I posted about this in the other TSA thread. They've also forced a cancer surviving flight attendant to remove her prosthetic breast, and searched a woman wearing a skirt so roughly that she limped away in pain.

But hey, its all for our safety right?

It almost seems like these folks are relieving pent-up frustration from having to ask if we want fries with that for so many years.

The sad thing is that had they racially profiled before 9/11, the towers would still be there. How many warnings did we need? Middle eastern men learning to fly but not take off and land. Over stayed visas. I know there are a few more but this is off the top of my head.

Actually it was much more simple than that. At the time bladed tools were not allowed on board, they had to be in checked luggage. But the BGs were able to convince security that they had to have them for work, and didn't trust the airlines not to loose their checked baggage. Yet, they carried no other tools on board with them.

So what do we do? Make security so insane people would rather drive.
