Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Thumbs down Looks like the G.M. bailout was a great idea.

Looks like the unions are the only ones who did well.

or the 8-20 million people who still have a job because of it...

imagine that many people collecting unemployment!?

why is it always the working man giving up concessions anyway and not the ceo's etc...earning millions per year vs. an auto worker making 60k?

Hmmm.... Let's think about it. The current CEO of GM makes a salary of $1.7 Million. Cutting $5.00 of benefits per year for your imaginary "8-20 million people" saves somewhere between $40 Million and $100 Million. Where do small cuts make a difference? Do they teach math at SIU? And, without the bailout, those folks wouldn't all have been out of a job. The company would have filed bankruptcy, reorganized, and gone about its business...

GM - A huge BHO success story and the Reps don't know how to deal with it.

Remember America first, politics 2nd.

Public trade at a loss, they still owes the government $43 billion , not including the $15 billion it borrowed to fund its financial arm. Treasury lost billions on the IPO as it bought the stock at inflated prices. Yep, sounds like a success story.

Too sad when stealing property from the rightful owners in violation of our corporate laws, giving kick backs to the folks that elected you, currently loosing billions of taxpayer dollars, and the liberal calls that a success story.

Ideally hope you wise up when you finally graduate from college and get your first job. This country under BHO is loosing hundreds of thousands of jobs each month. Borrowing, really printing, 5 billion per day with no end in sight nor desire to change it. Yet you think it's all good.

Like ipsc said. Had they followed corporate law, GM would still be around today with the exception they would be leaner and stronger. However, as it stands, they are way over bloated. We are out billions of dollars. GM will fail again big time in the future. Hopefully then it will go thruoghthe right process. Until then, they will continue to build cars like the volt, that nobody wants. Before you make the silly claim again about wanting to buy the car, why does the federal government ie taxpayers have to pay for 25% of that purchase if people really want the car?

oh it gets better....this little marxist social engineering venture (aka "the Chevy Volt") cannot succeed. Take the socialist failure of Kalifornia...they can't supply enough electricity to homes and businesses during the summertime...where is the electricity going to come from when all those idiot libs buy their Volts and need to recharge their batteries for the next day ? They can't supply enough as it is, add the increased burden of a few million electric cars and it's 'lights out'. Morons.
