Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

It's nice that insider trading is illegal for you and I but perfectly acceptable to those in Washington.

but let's not tax these people, instead let's have the lower and middle classes foot the bill.

Seriously, have you looked at your tax bill lately? Tell me again, who is footing the bill? I can tell you it's not peanuts they are stealing out of my pay check .

What bothers me the most is that you fail to explain why you feel you have a right to the money I earn!

Utterly stupid comment. First of all, it's "foot the bill" not "flip the bill." Second, who in the lower classes is paying income tax? The bottom 40+% pay NOTHING. In fact, they're a net negative... They get money back via tax credits, earned income credit, etc. The top 10% pay well over 60% of the total income tax revenue. They pay a greater percentage of the tax burden now than they did before the Bush "Tax cuts for the wealthy."

Americans have always been encouraged through our Liberty to better ourselves, often with not much more then an Idea. That encouragement to prosper in this country should never turn into a penalty. Cut the spending and end the Wet Nursing. You want to get ahead your going to have to sweat.

As of 2007...the top 1% controls 42.7% of the wealth in this country. The bottom 80% controls 7%.

Why people earning much less than 250k /year fight for tax cuts for the top 2% is beyond me??

It's no surprise that the very rich, billionaires, etc... want the middle class to foot the bill so they can save millions! At least they have a reason to vote for tax cuts for the rich.

I'm just trying to avoid the middle class becoming apart of the lower class. Which seems to be happening quicker and quicker!

I should poll it, those earning over/under 200/250k on hunting.net

btw the current highest tax bracket begins at 373k/year, ie tax cuts for the middle class sound better to me, than tax cuts for the richest amongst us!

not to mention capital gains...

which is why warren buffet says he pays a lower tax rate than his secretary.

why should people, ie the middle class who has to work for a living pay a higher income tax than those living off investments? 35% vs 15%

How many people making under 250k actually employ anyone?... Do the numbers!

I remember when I didn't have squat, now that I'm making a little more, I have a gardener a maid, the people that own the mom and pop laundry are happy that I see them two times a week or more and the list goes on. I spread the wealth because I can now afford it.

Good grief some of you people will cut off your nose to spite your face..

But then again, you think just like your boss Barry!

been down this road before many many times. Sal. Please address the facts and not repeat the talking points.

Every single class of folks advanced in rank not declined except for the very upper class of folks in a study that has been done for decades. The very rich were the only ones who decreased. Here is an interesting fact I learned. Sorry Im paraphrasing it but the first decade the Forbes richest folks came out to the next decade, only something like 5% made both lists.. It gets even more interesting. The ones that didn't make the list only needed to earn 5% Return on their money to remain on the top rich people in the world. They failed and got bounced off the list.
