Default Mc Cain worried about GOP

McCain Worried About ‘Protectionism and Isolationism’ in GOP
Tuesday, November 16, 2010
By Matt Cover
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) called a press conference on Monday, April 19, 2010 to announce a 10-point plan to secure the border between Mexico and Arizona, including the immediate deployment of 3,000 National Guard troops to the region. (CNSNews.com/Penny Starr)

(CNSNews.com) – Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said he is worried about protectionist and isolationist views taking root in the Republican Party, particularly in the newly elected group of conservative Republicans. McCain said these views might contribute to dwindling GOP support for the war on terrorism.
McCain, speaking Monday at an event sponsored by the Foreign Policy Initiative in Washington, D.C., was asked whether he thought that support for the war on terrorism might be eroding within the GOP.

Is this guy for real, talk about calling the kettle black. He's got almost as much liberal blood running through his veins as Obama!

I think he's going to be like Carter (Never going away)..

And he has the stones to call himself a conservative?

I don't know what 'region' he is talking about. If he means the Arizona border and Mexico 3 thousand might do it. Along the entire border? You will need a whole lot more than 3 thousand. The drug and human smugglers will not give up very easily.

Putting troops on the border won't accomplish much of anything if their hands are tied and they aren't allowed to shoot, or if they shoot a drug smuggler they are the ones that wind up in prison.
