I don't like it--"reaching across the aisle" has been a problem before, because it generally means anything but meeting in the middle.

I do like this though.

the guy's supposed to be somewhat conservative, and could pull a lot of W.Va votes to the republican party come next election.

BTW...has anybody heard anything about the 3% real-estate sales tax that was passed as part of 'Obamacare' ? Supposed to take hold in 2013 on all home sales....

I dont buy the conservative part from Manchin. He was cheering like a little schoolgirl when Obama got elected as well as while the healthcare debate was going on. Not to mention he believes in global warming and the need for a carbon tax. Dont believe anything the little worm says... He may have ran as a conservative...but so did almost every other pos democrat in the country. The only thing he has been conservative on in this state was the budget... which is a good thing. I just dont think it will last when Prince Harry starts kissing on his neck.
