Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default And it just keeps getting worse. Bomb proof tunnel for Obama in India

I feel like Im watching a comedy. The only problem is that we, the tax payers, are the punch line.

http://www.dnaindia.com/mumbai/repor...bhavan_1461946

Quote:
The tunnel would be a kilometre long and measure 12ft by 12ft — enough to let Obama’s cavalcade pass through. The tunnel would be centrally air-conditioned, fitted with close-circuit television cameras, and will be heavily guarded at every point, including, of course, its entry and exit.
Details about when exactly the tunnel would be made were not forthcoming. But officials said that the structure would be dismantled immediately after Obama leaves the area.

Of course, Obama must have centrally air-conditioned. No expense is too much for King Obama. Let his unwashed subjects eat cake.

The only saving grace will be in 2012 when I cast my vote to throw that worthless bastard out of office. I just know my vote will be the one he feels the most.

$200 million a day may be an exaggeration......or not. How can anyone know what it doesn't cost when nobody will say what it will cost?

Regardless, it's a slap in the face to the American public for him to take this trip while telling the rest of us to "tighten our belts".

If the “Great One” is so beloved by the world, why his there so much concern for his safety abroad? I would think that he would have a greater need of intensive security in the United States, the place that he is destroying!
I would bet he is more hated in the U.S. than any where else on earth!

Nice new name Will

You do know that all this could be put to rest very simply. All the administration needs to do is post the numbers. Why do you think they keep telling everyone, "no comment". They say the numbers are wrong, yet refuse to post the true numbers. There’s your transparency for ya

Quote:
The White House says, emphatically, that it's not.

"Due to security concerns, we are unable to outline details associated with security procedures and costs, but it’s safe to say these numbers are wildly inflated," said White House spokeswoman Kate Bedingfield.

So a price tag would affect security???? What a whitewash job. No one wants to know details, just the cost.

As you said, "nice try" to pass it off.

The numbers don't really matter...it is just paper anyway.
